- Reduction of Single-Use Products by Government Agencies and Schools
To change public habits and encourage environmentally friendly practices such as “bring your own, reuse, and reduce usage,” efforts are being made to reduce the use of single-use products, thereby lowering resource consumption and environmental pollution. Government agencies are taking the lead, followed by schools, to promote and instill environmental awareness.
Definition of Single-Use Products:
(1) Disposable tableware: bowls, plates, dishes, lunch boxes, chopsticks, and spoons made of any material, excluding snack boxes and fruit containers.
(2) Packaged drinking water (including cup water, bottled water, or beverages) and single-use beverage cups of any material, excluding flat paper cups.
Implementation Measures:
For meetings, training sessions, and activities organized by the school:
(1) Do not provide disposable tableware; reusable tableware should be used whenever possible.
(2) Do not provide paper cups, single-use plastic cups, or packaged drinking water; prioritize installing water dispensers or providing bulk water.
(3) For meetings, training, and events, meals should be ordered using reusable containers.
(4) Include reminders such as “In support of reducing single-use products, please bring your own reusable cup and tableware” in notices or related information.
